This year, the whole school created marketable products to sell at our bi-annual market day. We've all be covering Science this term, specifically changes of state. The challenge was to create a marketable products using something that changed state. In Room 14, we listened to the choices many of the other classes had made, and decided we would not repeat anyone else's ideas if possible.
We decided to use salt dough, and the slow cooking process to create a variety of products from necklaces to Christmas decorations.
The students worked in groups to produce their product and to make it look great for Market Day.
All our product sold, though some had to be reduced in price first, and the students have gone on to reflect on their choice of product and its success/or not.
Here are some photos of the 'making' day.
